The Chinese Embassy in Qatar starts to offer China Online Visa Application (COVA) and online booking of appointments serviceto process visa applicationsfrom 17 November 2019. There will be one month transitional period (from 17 November to 14 December), during which the applicant can still submit the old version application form without making an appointment for submission.

From 15 December 2019, all applicants must complete the COVA form on https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn/ and applications with Visa Application Form V.2013 will NOT be accepted. After filling out the form online, applicants should schedule an appointment for submission on https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn . The COVA form, confirmation page and other necessary documents(http://qa.chineseembassy.org/eng/lsfw/Visas/t1627512.htm) should be submitted to the consular section of the Chinese Embassy in Qatar .
