Since May19, the Chinese Embassy in Qatar updated the requirements for Pre-trip tests, as well as the requirements for the applications forthe Health Declaration Form (here in after referred to as "Health Code") for all China-bound passengers. Before boarding in the Hamad International Airport, all China-bound passengers from Qatar to China will be required to apply for a Electronic Health Declaration Form (here in after referred to as "Health Code") from the Chinese Embassy in Qatar. To apply for the Health Code, all passengers(whether vaccinated or not) need to do two times of PCR tests and a rapid antigen test(RAT) of Covid-19. For detailed requirements of PCR&RAT tests, please refer to Part III.
China-bound passengers departing from Qatar can only transit once to China. Before buying tickets, please make sure that passengers meet the boarding requirements of the transit airports, which may include but not limited to taking the tests in the transit country within 48 hours or less (from sample collected time, same below) before boarding and applying for the Health Code from the Chinese Embassy/Consulate, and doing the rapid antigen test in the transit country. Passengers are therefore advised to find out about the entry regulations and tests requirements of the transit country before traveling. II.Pre-departure Quarantine 1. Employees from Chinese companies are required to take a 10-day closed-loop quarantine before their departure. 2. The other passengers should take a 10-day health monitoring in Qatar before their departure. Passengers who has been diagnosed as Covid-19 patient and whose PCR test result has been positive still need to take a closed-loop quarantine for at least 14 days. III. Application for the Health Code: Requirements of Tests and Submission Materials Passengers should submit the application for the Health Code 8 hours before boarding. Please upload the materials in the order listed below, upload materials related to test result first, and then upload general materials. Make sure to upload each material only once. 1.【Testing Requirements】 Two times of PCR tests(Nasopharyngeal swab,samebelow) and one RAT in agencies designated by the Chinese Embassy:one PCR test within 48 hours beforeboarding, another PCR test within 24 hours before boarding, and one RAT within 12 hours before boarding. All results must be negative. (1)PCR test within 48 hours before boarding needs to be done in those agencies: (Please make appointments for your test and make sure when you could get the reports in advance)
(2)PCR test within 24 hours before boarding needs to be done in Sidra Hospital. (please make appointments for your test and make sure when you could get the reports in advance)
(3)RAT within 12 hours before boarding needs to be done in those agencies: (Please make appointments for your tests and make sure when you could get the reports in advance)
Passengers whose flight departure in the morning could follow this time schedule to do their RAT within 12 hours before boarding:
If the passenger has a positive RAT result before boarding, please cancel the itinerary in time and take a PCR test as soon as possible. Relevant RAT and PCR reports must be submitted to the email of the Embassy(consulate_qat@mfa.gov.cn) ASAP, and the Embassy will notify relevant personnel of the pre-trip testing policy applicable in the next stage based on the report. If the passenger has obtained the Health Code, and the RAT before boarding is negative, but fails to board the plane for other reasons, please keep all the test reports, and the Embassy will check the next time when the passenger apply for the Health Code. 【Submit Materials】 (1)Negative PCR test result within 48 hours before boarding(including the report from HMC Lab). (2)Negative PCR test result within 24 hours before boarding. (3)Negative RAT result within 12 hours before boarding. (4)General Materials: a. Health Monitoring Form 1 (see Annex 1,just for employees from Chinese companies). b. Health Monitoring Form 2 (see Annex 2, for all travelers). c. Itineraries for the whole trip. d.Qatari passport (for Qatari citizens) or residence permit (for other foreigners in the Qatar). e.The entry stamp of your last entry into Qatar on your passport, and the exit stamp of the country you left before your last entry into Qatar on your passport. f.Other materials required by the Embassy. IV. Special Requirments for Passengers with History of COVID-19 Infection Passengers who were diagnosed as Covid-19 patient, whose PCR test result was positive,must take 2 PCR tests at least 24 hours apart and send the negative test reports to consulate_qat@mfa.gov.cn. (Please be aware: 2 PCR tests must be done within 72 hours before sending to the Embassy) After being approved by the Embassy, the passengers must self-isolate for at least 14 days and make sure that they are symptom-free. These passengers are requested to fill up the Health Monitoring Form 2 (Annex 2) during the self-isolation. Then, the passengers can do the necessary pre-trip tests(in Part III) and upload their negative test certificates, the screenshot of Embassy approval by email, as well as the Health Monitoring Form 2 to apply for the Health Code. VI. Special Requirments for Passengers Who Have Contacts with COVID-19 Confirmed Cases or Asymptomatic Infected Persons Covid-19 close contacts refer to those who have unprotected contacts with confirmed Covid-19 patients or asymptomatic coronavirus carriers. Covid-19 close contacts (even if you are vaccinated), or asymptomatic infected persons are requested to: (1) Self-isolate for at least 14 days after the unprotected contact; and fill up the Health Monitoring Form2 (Annex 2) during the self-isolation. (2) Take 3 PCR tests on the 1st, 4th and 7th day during the 14-day quarantine. (3) Passengers can do the the necessary pre-trip tests(in Part III ) and upload their negative test certificates as well as the Health Monitoring Form 2 and all negative tests report during the self-isolation to apply for the HealthCode. VII. Special Requirments for Temporary Visitors in Qatar All temporary visitors are requested to send an email to the Embassy(consulate_qat@mfa.gov.cn) to report the travel history, personnel information, and planned trip to China before arriving in Qatar. The Embassy will notify relevant personnel of the pre-trip testing policy applicable in the next stage. Those who fail to complete the pre-trip inspection due to failure to report will not be issued a Health Code. Fortemporary visitors, they are also requested to take a 10-day health monitoring in Qatar before their departure.
