On July 29, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in the State of Qatar hosted a reception to celebrate the 98^th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army, and mark the 80^th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. Around 150 people attended the reception, including senior officers from Qatari Armed Forces, ambassadors and defence attachés from other embassies, friends from various sectors of local society, and representatives from overseas Chinese and Chinese companies and institutions.

Ambassador Cao Xiaolin delivered a speech, reviewing the Chinese people's arduous War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and its historical contribution as the main eastern battlefield of the World Anti-Fascist War. He emphasized that remembering history means safeguarding the victory of World War Ⅱ and the post-war international order, and expressed China's willingness to work with Qatar and other Middle East countries to firmly safeguard the international system with the UN at its core, and build a community with a shared future for humanity.

Senior Colonel Yang Yongzhi mainly introduced that, the PLA has been actively implementing the Global Security Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, and providing public security products such as peacekeeping, maritime escort, and humanitarian assistance to the international community. Yang said that the PLA is willing to cooperate with Qatari Armed Forces to promote and deepen the healthy and stable relationship together.

During the reception, a photo exhibition titled "Safeguarding World Peace for a Shared Destiny" was held, and guests viewed historical photos commemorating the 80^th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and a short video titled "The Guardians". The atmosphere was warm and friendly, with guests highly praising China's positive contributions to the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the maintenance of world peace and stability.
