The Chinese Embassy in Qatar held a reception to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on September 28. Ambassador Cao Xiaolin attended the event together with more than 500 guests, including H.E. Mr. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhro, Director of the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E Major General Abdullah Hassan Al-Sulati, Commander of the Qatari Emir Navy, and people from various sectors, foreign ambassadors to Qatar, representatives from the Chinese community and Chinese companies in Qatar.

At the beginning of the reception, the Chinese children in Qatar sang the national anthems of both China and Qatar.

In his speech, Ambassador Cao Xiaolin reviewed the achievements of the Chinese path to modernization in economic development, poverty alleviation, scientific and technological innovation and other fields over the past years. He also introduced the Global Governance Initiative and highlighted the achievements of exchanges and cooperation between China and Qatar in various fields. Ambassador Cao Xiaolin stressed that China will work with Qatar, under the spirit of China-Arab friendship, to deepen strategic partnership, advance exchanges and cooperation across the board and at all levels and usher in a chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The event featured a video showcasing China's achievements in economic and social development and scientific and technological innovation during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).

The guests commended China's prosperity in the new era and expressed their hope for the continuous development of China-Qatar relations.
