China Southern Airlines held an inaugural ceremony of  Beijing–Doha Route at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar on October 16. H.E. Mr. Cao Xiaolin, the Chinese Ambassador to the State of Qatar, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. The event was also attended by Mr. Hamad Ali Al-khater, Chief Operating Officer of Hamad International Airport.

    Ambassador Cao extended his congratulations on the official launch of the new route, and noted rapid progress has been made in China-Qatar cooperation in the field of aviation over past years. The number of direct flights and their frequencies between two countries has continued to increase, and the network of routes has become increasingly diversified. The launch of Beijing-Doha route injects new vitality into the mutually-beneficial cooperation and will further help promote trade, cultural exchange, and travel between China and Qatar.

    The flight operates round trips between Beijing and Doha every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
