On October 15, the “My China-Qatar Friendship Story” speech contest, organized by the Chinese Business Council in Qatar and co-hosted by the Doha Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and the China Railway Construction Corporation Qatar Branch, was successfully held in Doha.

The event was filled with enthusiasm and warm applause. Sixteen contestants from nine Chinese enterprises, including Bank of China and Huawei, shared vivid and inspiring stories in Chinese, English, and Arabic. Their speeches focused on the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative cooperation between China and Qatar and their personal journeys of pursuing dreams while working with Chinese enterprises in Qatar — true reflections of the enduring friendship between the two countries. After a fierce competition, contestants from Tunisia, Lebanon, and China won the first prizes.

Chinese Ambassador to Qatar H.E. Mr.Cao Xiaolin attended the event and delivered remarks, speaking highly of the contest. Ambassador Cao noted that the contestants’ stories represent the joint efforts of all employees of Chinese enterprises in Qatar to promote China-Qatar friendship and vividly demonstrate the spirit of a China-Arab community with a shared future.
