Embassy of China in Qatar held a press briefing, where H.E. Ambassador Cao Xiaolin introduced the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the new opportunities brought to the development of China-Qatar relations by the 15th Five-Year Plan on November 12. Several media outlets in Qatar including the Peninsula, the Qatar Tribune, the Al Raya, the Al-Sharq, and the Rahbar International attended the event.

Ambassador Cao Xiaolin elaborated the significance of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, reviewed China’s achievements during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and focused on introducing the main goals and key measures of the 15th Five-Year Plan. He emphasized that the 15th Five-Year Plan provides a top-level design for China's economic and social development over the next five years, fully demonstrating the stability of China's policies, economic growth, and development expectations, and providing valuable certainty to a turbulent world. He stated that the 15th Five-Year Plan will serve as a booster for elevating practical cooperation across all sectors between China and Qatar, and a golden key to unlocking a new golden era for the China-Qatar strategic partnership. The prospects for expanding cooperation between the two countries are promising and full of potential.

Ambassador Cao Xiaolin also answered questions from journalists on China-Qatar bilateral relations, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges.
